Ferrari 360 Modena OTO Clutch Conversion

The Ferrari 360 Modena OTO program is GTE Engineering’s application-specific clutch conversion using an F430-type twin-disc clutch arrangement and GTE-engineered conversion components. It is a GTE development program, not a factory Ferrari option. The goal is to provide an alternative clutch configuration for suitable Ferrari 360 projects while planning for installation and future servicing.

How it differs from a standard 360 clutch rebuild

A standard rebuild services the existing 360 clutch configuration. The OTO program changes the clutch arrangement and requires matched conversion components. The F430-type clutch is not a direct substitute that should be installed with an unmodified standard 360 setup. The clutch assembly, flywheel, release geometry and supporting hardware must be treated as a compatible system.

What the project involves

  • Assessment of the vehicle and its current clutch/transmission configuration.
  • A compatible twin-disc clutch assembly and the specified GTE conversion flywheel/components.
  • Review of release-system fitment, clearances and installation requirements.
  • Balancing and assembly work as specified in the approved project scope.
  • Application-specific commissioning and clutch setup by the installer.

Why a twin-disc arrangement?

A twin-disc clutch uses additional working friction interfaces within a defined package. Capacity and engagement behavior depend on the complete assembly, friction materials, clamping load, dimensions and control setup. The number of discs alone does not prove a particular torque capacity, reduced temperature or service-life improvement. Ask GTE for the specification and available evidence for the exact build.

Identification and serviceability

The OTO program is described as a limited series of 360 serialized conversions. Confirm current availability, the assigned build identification and the supplied documentation with GTE. Keep a record of the fitted clutch, flywheel and conversion parts. Future service must follow the converted configuration rather than relying on the original VIN-based clutch listing alone.

Choosing the clutch specification

Discuss transmission type, street or track use, modifications and torque demand before selecting a lining stage. PEGA Clutch stages describe friction configurations and engagement priorities; they do not create a universal horsepower rating. The estimate must identify the exact clutch and associated parts included.

Common questions

Is OTO a gated manual conversion?

No. A clutch conversion and an F1-to-gated-manual conversion are separate projects. Tell GTE if either conversion is already present or proposed.

Can I order a standard F430 clutch and fit it directly?

No. The OTO arrangement requires its specified conversion components and fitment review.

Are installation and every release-system part included?

Only when expressly included in the listing and approved estimate.

How do I request the program?

Provide VIN, model, transmission type, existing clutch details and intended use, then confirm availability and the complete project scope.
