McLaren Service and Repair: Diagnostics and Planning
Start with the exact McLaren
Identify the vehicle and its configuration when requesting service. The McLaren name covers different systems and service requirements. A workshop's experience with one model should not be treated as confirmation that every operation is available for every model.
Provide useful diagnostic information
Describe the symptom, when it occurs and any dashboard warnings. Include recent maintenance and existing diagnostic reports. For a shifting concern, the workshop must determine whether the issue concerns transmission hardware, controls or another supporting system before proposing repairs.
Define the scope
Discuss routine maintenance and fault diagnosis separately. Confirm service availability for the exact vehicle and operation before arranging transport. Specialized systems require their applicable procedures and equipment; a broad service article does not establish that a particular repair is included.
Plan the appointment
Use GTE Engineering's appointment form to describe the work requested. Retain the quotation and subsequent findings with the vehicle's records. For removed components, contact Support before shipment to confirm what should be supplied.
