Rebuild Progress: Inspection, Approval and Shipping Updates
Use clear milestones
A component rebuild involves several distinct milestones: receipt, assessment, an agreed repair scope, completion and shipment. An update should identify which stage has been reached and whether information or authorization is still required. A shipping event should not be interpreted as a diagnostic result.
Keep the job identifiable
When requesting an update, include the order or invoice reference and the component being serviced. Keep photographs, fault reports and the agreed scope with the same records. This helps prevent a question about one assembly being confused with another order.
An invoice is not a completion notice
Deposit and progress invoices may be issued before work is finished. Likewise, a tracking number can be created before the carrier has delivered the shipment. Use an explicit work-completion update to establish service status and the carrier's information to establish transport status.
Request clarification when needed
Contact GTE Engineering through Support for questions about the work. Use parcel tracking for shipment movements. This article explains the distinction; it does not promise a fixed weekly reporting schedule or a universal turnaround time.
